We have been advising LaSalle Investment Management since 2008 on a number of out of centre assets, including Meole Brace Retail Park.
At Meole Brace Retail Park, we have helped to relax use controls, secure permission for mezzanines and unit sub-division, attract new food and drink tenants and secure consent for construction of new retail units.
This has included securing consent for a new M&S Simply Food, an extended unit (with full mezzanine) for Next and a 30,000sqft unit for Sports Direct.
We have secured necessary permissions through preparing detailed planning justification for the proposals, robustly demonstrating accordance with the relevant retail policy tests, and clearly articulating the economic merits.
In addition, our team secured a favourable Local Plan allocation which recognises the importance of Meole Brace Retail Park in meeting wider retail requirements in Shrewsbury, in the face of competition from the West Midlands.
