Our team secured planning consent for a new 8,000sqm retail park consisting of four A1 non-food units, an M&S Foodhall, and a Costa Coffee drive-thru. Through detailed negotiation we agreed a flexible planning permission with no restrictions on the sale of goods, subdivision, quantity of floorspace or hours of operation.
In addition to managing the technical retail planning matters, we delivered a planning strategy which successfully addressed range of environmental designations including a designated SSSI.
Further to that application’s submission and approval at Planning Committee (November 2016), we have continued to advise NewRiver and submit applications on their behalf including via discharge of conditions and signage applications, applications which propose minor changes to the approved scheme, and liaised with both Borough and County Councils regarding planning obligations. Our team has achieved 100% on all submissions linked to Canvey Island.
