- Sefton Council
- Regeneration of key buildings in Canvey Town Centre
- Portfolio of 26 properties including retail, leisure, office and other floorspace
After St Modwen invested close to £3m acquiring 26 properties in the Merseyside village of Crosby, we began advising our client on making its ambitions for Crosby a reality.
Crosby’s regeneration had stalled after a 2011 refusal of a comprehensive redevelopment proposal, submitted on behalf of Sainsbury’s. Over the past 18 months, our team has provided strategic planning advice, coordinated a number of planning applications including for comprehensive refurbishment, and changes of use to permit flexible uses across the centre.
The planning approvals we have obtained have allowed occupation by a range of industries including betting shops, a vets, tuition centres as well as other retail and leisure occupiers.
Implementing these consents and accommodating new occupiers is underway.
In addition, we are delighted for St Modwen’s nominations the Insider Liverpool Property Awards as ‘Commercial Developer of the Year 2018’ as well as Crosby’s nomination as ‘Commercial Development of the Year 2018’.
