For a number of years we have advised on developments at The Peel Centre in Hyndburn. We have coordinated and submitted several planning applications and planning obligation modifications.
Possessing a complex planning history, The Peel Centre has undergone substantial changes in recent years to promote the customer choice for those who live and work in the vicinity.
Having a ‘bulky goods’ restriction as a foundation, we have prepared and managed multiple planning applications and obligation modifications to secure new occupiers at the retail park including Smyth’s Toy Stores, Aldi and a Costa drive-thru. It has been essential to address these tests in relation to Hyndburn and Blackburn with Darwen centres due to the proximity of the neighbouring local authority.
Our role in providing strategic advice to our client has also led to making representations to the emerging local plan process.
