Seashell Trust is an internationally recognised charity in Cheadle Hulme providing educational, residential and care facilities for children and young adults with profound and complex communication and learning disabilities.

We have worked with Seashell Trust since 2010, coordinating an ongoing programme of applications to deliver an ambitious ‘Transformation Project’.

The Transformation Project involves a complete redevelopment of the campus including a new state of the art school building, reception, assessment units, family support services and a sports hall. This is now critical due to the physical state and limitations of the existing buildings.

Having exhausted all other funding options, our team was involved very early in the process to advise on a ‘very special circumstances’ cross funding case which will see a parcel of land in the Green Belt within Seashell Trust’s ownership disposed of to a housebuilder for up to 325 dwellings. The controversial proposals were recommended for approval but overturned at committee in January 2018. We are now in the process of assembling the appeal on Seashell Trust’s behalf.
