 Summary of NJL Approach:

NJL provided both strategic and detailed planning advice throughout the project to set a delivery strategy to overcome the complex planning issues associated with this development.  This included establishing a parameters based approach with the masterplan architects, reviewing the Environmental Impact Assessment and working through viability assessments to negotiate the best planning obligation solution for the client.  NJL worked closely with Trafford Council to secure buy-in to the proposals which were significantly different from their original aspirations for the site.

Outcome:

Outline planning permission for a major mixed-use development of sub-regional significance approved unanimously by Councillors. NJL are now in the early stages of assisting with a Reserved Matters planning application for one of the first phases on behalf of Trafford Housing Trust.
