Block 6, The Moor, Sheffield

NJL Consulting on behalf of RREEF (UK) Ltd has successfully gained planning permission for the redevelopment of Block 6 on The Moor, Sheffield.

NJL Consulting acting on behalf of RREEF (UK) Ltd has successfully gained planning permission for the redevelopment of Block 6 of The Moor, Sheffield. The regeneration of an important retail frontage along The Moor was unanimously approved by the planning committee members, who vocally supported the application and looked forward to its completion.

Block 6 is a detailed planning application for a mixed use building featuring eight commercial units fronting The Moor and a new indoor market.

The eight commercial units facing the moor will be double height units spread over a total of 9,500 sq.m. The units will feature glazed frontages offering modern retail space to meet the tenants' requirements.

The entrance to The Moor indoor market will be through a landmark bespoke roof. The design of the roof gives the market a dramatic and prominent entrance, whilst interacting with Sheffield City Council's own proposals for the public realm along The Moor.

The scheme will be the catalyst for further development around The Moor, the city centre and Moorfoot. It will create a new focus for retailers, whilst integrating positively into the existing Moor area. The scheme also provides a long term home for a modern city centre market, which will become an attraction in itself
