Bellway Homes (North West Division) commissioned NJL to produce Environmental and Sustainability Statements, as part of a full planning application for 148 new homes, with the requirement to meet a tight deadline.
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) was completed by a NJL-led multi-disciplinary team and following submission, we coordinated the EIA consultation process in cooperation with Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council (OMBC).
The Sustainability Statement incorporated the need for site-wide Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 certification and OMBC's 10% renewable energy requirement. We demonstrated how the target could be achieved using SAP modelling of representative house types.
