Radcliffe School, Milton Keynes
Advising public sector clients on key environmental and sustainability issues leading to successful consent and commercial deal.
Project Radcliffe seeks to redevelop a failing existing school and underused leisure facility to provide a state of the art Sports Academy, olympic sized indoor swimming pool and associated indoor and outdoor sports facilities, new primary health care centre and new housing.
NJL has provided wide-ranging project advice in close liaison with planning, legal and technical officers at the council. We have led the EIA process for the outline planning application and the subsequent discharge of related planning conditions, avoiding delays to the project.
We have continued to advise in relation to the sustainable design and energy strategy which has assessed low carbon CHP as well as renewable energy options in conjunction with energy efficiency measures.
