NJL is appointed under a framework contract with The Co-operative Group. We provide advice to support the operational requirements of the Group's 4,900 retail stores and extensive investment, urban development and land portfolios. These include large scale housing sites, new retail stores and applying the planning system to improve portfolio management.
Our advice incorporates policy representations, strategic positions, technical solutions and assessing the planning policy compliance of competitor retail proposals. In addition our specialist retail planning skills are helping the Co-operative Group deliver new retail stores as well as enhancing existing retail assets. This has included successful inquiry and appeal decisions where we have provided expert witness services.
