Detail Planning Application Submitted - Whaley Bridge
NJL Consulting has submitted a detailed planning application, on behalf of Alliance Living Ltd, for a residential development of 14 dwellings in Whaley Bridge.
The development is located on a redundant industrial site to the east of Whaley Bridge town centre within the existing defined urban area. Located within a conservation area, the scheme will bring clear benefits through the demolition of a redundant negative building and sympathetic redevelopment to provide 14 much needed family homes.
The application, submitted to High Peak Borough Council, delivers a high-quality sustainable development that responds sensitively to the sites setting and characteristics.
NJL Consulting, instructed as lead planning advisors on the application, will continue to monitor and manage the application through to determination.
Chris Jones of NJL Consulting said:
‘Whaley Bridge, and specifically the application site, is a sustainable location for housing as identified in the recently adopted Local Plan. The scheme responds to its surroundings and provides a high-quality proposal with a distinct sense of place. Carefully considered use of building materials and styles, which reflect the local vernacular, help knit the development into the historic context of the area.’
