Success in South Ribble for Roundhouse Properties

NJL Consulting is delighted to announce that it has secured permission on behalf of Roundhouse Properties to enable the Roundhouse Retail Park@South Rings to sell a wider range of goods. 

A Section 73 application was submitted to vary conditions attached to the planning permission for the Retail Park, which restricted it to the sale of bulky goods, to allow it to sell all goods except food.  NJL led the planning application and overcame complex issues relating to the sequential site assessment and retail impact, to secure approval from Planning Committee.

Roundhouse Properties is keen to bring forward the Retail Park and conditions on previous planning permissions had historically thwarted the marketing of the site to end users which had stalled investment.  This permission is an important step in securing end operators, so that the development can be delivered. 

Roundhouse Retail Park@South Rings is located to the south of Bamber Bridge, near Preston.  It forms part of the South Rings area, which is a key regeneration priority for South Ribble Council and is one of a series of key investments by Roundhouse Properties in this area.
