With the release of the revised National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) during what is turning out to be one of the hottest summers on record, much attention has turned toward how planning policy is guiding the adaption of cities to the challenges posed by climate change. This has been stoked by the publication last week of the Environmental Audit Committee’s (EAC) report setting out the risks posed to UK cities by the increasing regularity of extreme and unpredictable weather events.

On behalf of Countryside Properties, NJL Consulting have submitted two detailed planning applications at the former Riverside College site in Runcorn, Halton. Combined the proposals seek to develop a total of 144 residential dwellings with a mix of private rented sector and market homes across the 4.05 ha site.

The proposal seeks to develop a total of 79 residential dwellings across the 3.07 ha site which will form a natural extension to existing development in the Westbrook area.
On behalf of Possfund Custodian Trustee Limited, NJL Consulting is delighted to confirm the submission of an application to vary the approved retail park scheme at Bridgwater Retail Park in Somerset. The latest applications to bring forward the delivery of a c.150,000sq.ft expansion of the site.
NJL Consulting have recently achieved approval of a major Reserved Matters application for client UK Land and Property which will allow the creation of a 1M sq.ft Distribution Hub within Bedfordshire’s Northern Expansion Area (NEA).
Submitted in Winter 2017, NJL have worked collaboratively with technical co-consultants and UKLP to ensure the successful progression of the application. Alongside addressing the reserved matters, the application also sought to discharge 11 conditions in order to ensure the unobstructed realisation of the proposals.
