Submission of Application for Homes in South Cambridgeshire
An outline planning application for up to 58 homes to be built in the village of Caldecote in Cambridgeshire has been submitted to South Cambridgeshire District Council on behalf of Welbeck Strategic Land and the landowners. NJL Consulting’s Manchester office was instructed byWelbeck as the sole planners on the development in Caldecote.
The proposed homes, 40 per cent of which will be affordable housing, will provide a range of detached and semi-detached family homes close to the centre of the village. In advance of the submission of the application to South Cambridgeshire District Council, NJL Consulting worked alongside SP Broadway, a PR Company specialising in planning and development, to promote the proposals within the local community and understand the needs and aspirations of Caldecote and its residents.
NJL Consulting managed the project team and will continue to monitor the application through to determination. Charlotte Wynn, Senior Planner at NJL Consulting, said: “The proposals submitted to the Council will help to boost the housing supply in the village and assist the Council in meeting their district-wide housing needs. There is an identified need for additional housing and affordable housing which the application seeks to address through the delivery of a high-quality development of family housing, utilising a sustainably located site.”
