Waterfront Housing Submission at Former Riverside College Site, Runcorn
On behalf of Countryside Properties, NJL Consulting have submitted two detailed planning applications at the former Riverside College site in Runcorn, Halton. Combined the proposals seek to develop a total of 144 residential dwellings with a mix of private rented sector and market homes across the 4.05 ha site.
Since the relocation of the Riverside College, the land has remained as an unused waterfront site within the Runcorn area. The development will provide a boost to the housing supply and unlock development on a key vacant brownfield site in Runcorn. Countryside Properties are renowned for their style of housing and will introduce a mix of high quality properties for future residents of the site to enjoy.
NJL have been involved throughout the early stages of preparing the application and have managed progression through to submission. Working with a number of co-consultants, reviewing technical reports and preparing a planning statement in support of the application; NJL have ensured the applications fully meet national and local validation requirements.
In preparation of the applications, NJL has assisted in ensuring a high-quality proposal is brought forward. The result is a detailed scheme which complements the existing built environment within Runcorn while bringing forward a contemporary development.
Moving forward, NJL will be monitoring and managing the application throughout the determination period with the aim of securing consent in this sustainable location.
