    Chamberhall Bury View02 V2 Mast

    Submission for Chamberhall, Bury development goes in

    NJL Consulting has submitted a hybrid planning application, on behalf of St Modwen Properties Plc, to develop land at Chamberhall in Bury for an employment-led mixed use development.  The application comprises of a full planning application for 12,000 sq.m of Use Class B1, B2 and B8 employment floorspace in 16 units on Phase 1 of the development and an outline application for a mix of retail, leisure and employment uses on Phase 2.

    This planning application represents an important milestone in bringing forward a development site that has been allocated for over 20 years, so that it can make a valuable contribution towards Bury’s economy.

    Residential Development at Weir Road, Norwood

    On behalf of Cashco UK Ltd, NJL Consulting have submitted a full planning application to Lambeth Council, for the redevelopment of a brownfield site to provide 8 dwellings. The site is currently occupied by a cash and carry and associated storage buildings and parking areas. The cash and carry business is in the process of relocating a larger, more suitable site within Lambeth in the near future, which NJL are also advising on.

    The Silk Works, Invicta House Submission

    NJL has submitted a full planning application for the redevelopment of existing offices in Manchester City Centre to provide 50,000 sq ft of new office accommodation. On behalf of our clients Henry Boot Developments Ltd and Invicta Manchester Ltd, the proposed development branded The Silk Works will provide much needed new office floorspace across 8 storeys incorporating the existing Invicta House Victorian façades on Atkinson Street and Scott Place. The ground floor will provide the opportunity for a coffee shop or kiosk to be established, alongside amenity space for occupiers.

    Invicta House is a Victorian building with local heritage significance located within the Deansgate/ Peter Street Conservation Area.  As such, the project has been a complex heritage case that has been subject to close liaison and consultation between NJL, Northmill Associates, Historic England and Manchester City Council.  The scheme has been revised and tailored throughout the pre-application period to reflect comments received from key stakeholders.  From this NJL has developed a positive working relationship with the Council, Historic England and the project team.
