Nick Lee – Partner
Nick founded NJL Consulting Ltd in 2003 after setting up and establishing thriving planning teams for CB Hillier Parker/CB Richard Ellis and for Jones Lang LaSalle. Nick leads NJL’s Planning and Development Team and has extensive experience in most planning and development services across the UK, this includes:

Rob White – Partner
Rob joined NJL in 2005 and leads the Sustainability Team at NJL having worked in a variety of multi-disciplinary consultancy organisations in the UK and abroad. Rob has a wide range of experience of the technical issues associated with all phases of the development cycle, this includes:

Chris Jones – Partner
Chris joined NJL in 2009 to strengthen our planning delivery and links to development opportunities.
He has run senior planning teams working on major developments, economic regeneration and masterplanning
projects across the UK. In his last role Chris set up the Manchester planning team at Cushman and Wakefield
which he led for two years as part of a national planning team working on a series of public sector
and local authority development programmes.

Caroline Robertshaw – Senior Consultant
Caroline has considerable experience in the management and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments for a range of development types and infrastructure. She has an in depth knowledge and understanding of Sustainability Appraisals and providing advice in respect of sustainable development and Strategic Environmental Assessment. Caroline is also a trained and registered Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor and member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.

Russell Adams – Senior Consultant
Russell has wide experience of planning and development issues in both the local government and private consultancy sector. Russell’s broad range of work experience has given him a detailed knowledge of the following areas:
- The administrative and procedural requirements of planning.
- Private and public sector planning
- Development strategy
- Rural planning
- Regeneration initiatives
- Design and construction practice
Russell has submitted and handled a range of planning applications and appeals. He actively seeks land and development opportunities, working with clients to provide planning and sustainability led land and property advice and solutions. Russell is a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Mark Saunders – Senior Consultant
Mark is a Senior Planner within our Planning and Development Team. Since joining NJL, Mark has gained significant experience in many facets of the planning and development process. In particular, Mark has detailed knowledge of:

- Asset and Portfolio Management
- Planning Phase Project Management
Mark advises and provides leadership for a wide breadth of clients on projects at various stages of the development process to achieve targeted and wider development goals. Mark is a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Laurie Wills - Senior Sustainability Consultant
Laurie is a key member of the NJL Sustainability Team, providing technical input to complement the existing, wider sustainability skills supplied in-house. Experienced in sustainable construction and carbon management, he provides advice to our developer, construction and local authority client base ensuring sustainability and compliance targets are met through provision of design advice and energy modelling, Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and low carbon energy strategies whilst also achieving the more holistic requirements of Code for Sustainable Homes (Code) and BREEAM assessments. He is a licensed BREEAM and Code assessor, accredited energy assessor and member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.

Chris Garratt - Consultant
Chris is a key member of the NJL sustainability Team with an in-depth knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA), Project Management and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). He provides advice and project management services to clients on environmental and sustainability issues during the planning process, ensuring both compliance and legislation and an efficient and timely submission of the application. Chris is a member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.

Yvonne Bowling – Office Manager
Yvonne heads the administration team at NJL, assisted by Lindsey Fallon. In particular Yvonne is responsible for all the financial aspects of business and should be first point of contact for queries in relation to these.

Lindsey Fallon - PA to Partners
Lindsey provides essential support to all members of the team; this includes all aspects of the day to day running of the office. Lindsey also leads on all event management for NJL internally and externally and assists with marketing. She can be your first point of contact for diarising meetings on behalf of the Partners.
