Nick founded NJL Consulting Ltd in 2003 after setting up and establishing thriving planning teams for CB Hillier Parker/CB Richard Ellis and for Jones Lang LaSalle. Nick leads NJL’s Planning and Development Team and has extensive experience in most planning and development services across the UK, this includes:

Rob White – Partner
Rob leads the Sustainability Team at NJL having previously worked in a variety of multi-disciplinary consultancy organisations in the UK and abroad. He has a wide range of experience of the technical issues associated with all phases of the development cycle. In addition to managing and resolving technical challenges for clients, he has advised organisations such as the HBF, Zero Carbon Hub, DCLG and Robust Details, and appeared as an expert witness at Planning Inquiries. Chris Jones – Partner
Chris leads on providing development planning advice focussing on planning delivery and our links to development opportunities. He has run senior planning teams working on major developments, economic regeneration and masterplanning projects across the UK. In his last role Chris set up the Manchester planning team at Cushman and Wakefield which he led for two years as part of a national planning team working on a series of public sector and local authority development programmes. Chris has significant experience in planning and development matters and in particular has a detailed knowledge of the following areas:
- Major urban mixed use regeneration schemes
- City centre commercial and retail
- Town centre regeneration projects
- Industrial and business parks
- Warehouse and distribution developments

Mark Saunders – Associate Partner
Mark is an Associate Partner within our Planning and Development Team and manages our retail planning business sector. Mark joined NJL in 2004 and has progressed within the company gaining a solid track record of providing clients with high quality consultancy advice as well as delivery of complex projects through the planning system, In particular, Mark has gained significant experience in relation to:

Chris Garratt - Consultant
Chris is a key member of the NJL sustainability Team with an in-depth knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA), Project Management and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). He provides advice and project management services to clients on environmental and sustainability issues during the planning process, ensuring both compliance and legislation and an efficient and timely submission of the application. Chris is a member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.

Lindsey Fallon – Office Manager and PA to Partners
Lindsey provides essential support to all members of the team; this includes all aspects of the day to day running of the office. Lindsey also leads on all event management for NJL internally and externally, is the Secretary for Interact Manchester South branch and assists with marketing and PR. She can be your first point of contact for diarising meetings on behalf of the Partners.
