NORTHSTONE SUCCESS IN LANCASTER

The development will deliver 70 homes, 30% of which will be affordable, significant swathes of public open space and landscaping, biodiversity net gain in excess of the 10% requirement and homes that beat and exceed the building regulations requirements in regard to energy efficiency.

This decision follows almost two years of negotiations with Lancaster City Council and a number of amendments to the original Outline Planning Permission to ensure the consent was buildable. It is an exciting time for Northstone as they embark on their first development within Lancaster and we’re excited to see this scheme come forwards. It will also be interesting to see this progress through the wider Local Plan landscape noting the reduced 5 year housing land supply and the recent announcement of a full Local Plan Review.
