APPLECAST - NEWBURGH
NJL have long acted for the charitable organisation AppleCast (CAST North West) on their wider site farm site which provides alternative education for young people, run horticulture sessions for people of all ages and abilities, and host holiday activities for children and families.
Early-stage discussions started in 2024 to understand the needs of the client and requirement for a dedicated school building and new community hub.
NJL provided planning advice in relation to the scheme design and Green Belt case. We coordinated all supporting documentation to inform a detailed planning application and agreed the basis of the planning case in support of the application.
Through close collaboration with the Council, the application was approved in May 2025. We continue to work with AppleCast on discharging conditions to ensure these well needed facilities can be brought forward quickly.
